Protecting the wires
that carry electric signals throughout vehicles

1Grommets

Grommets are used to attach panels between doors and the body, between the engine compartment and the interior, and between the interior and underfloor spaces. These parts serve to keep water and noise out of the interior, and to protect wire harnesses from external harm, such as water, heat, and/or dust. They are injection molded and made primarily of ethylene propylene rubber (EPDM). Soft in consistency, they are characterized by a high coefficient of extension and low hardness.
