Notice of appointment of new chief operating officer for the Industrial Products Division

On October 1, Molten Corporation (Head Office: Nishi-ku, Hiroshima; President and CEO: Kiyofumi Tamiaki) appointed a new chief operating officer to oversee its Industrial Products Division. Managing Director Yasuhito Orita left the position, which was taken over by his successor, operating officer Toshihiko Kobayashi. There were no changes in the company’s executive leadership as a result of this appointment.

Molten to add third plant to its automotive parts plant in Thailand

Molten Corporation (Head Office: Nishi-ku, Hiroshima; President and CEO: Kiyofumi Tamiaki) will build Plant 3 as a new facility on a site occupied by subsidiary Molten Asia Polymer Products Co., Ltd., which manufactures and sells rubber and resin automotive parts in Thailand. Construction, which began on October 9, is scheduled to be completed in May 2014 to allow a planned start of volume production in September 2014.
The project is geared to strengthen Molten’s product manufacturing and sales in ASEAN countries, whose markets are growing as the move by automakers to shift production overseas accelerates. With a footprint of 3,780 square meters, the new plant will house resin molding machines as well as product management space. Investment in the new facility will total THB 82 million.

Molten to establish subsidiary to sell automotive parts in Mexico in late May

Molten Corporation (Head Office: Nishi-ku, Hiroshima; President and CEO: Kiyofumi Tamiaki) will establish Molten Automotive de Mexico, S.A. de C.V., a wholly owned subsidiary that will sell rubber and resin automotive parts in Mexico.
The decision reflects Molten’s desire to bolster its ability to supply products in the country and to expand its automotive parts business in North America as automakers and part manufacturers’ efforts to boost production in Mexico accelerate. The company will outsource production to local manufacturers.
Molten is currently preparing to establish the new company in late May and to start sales in January 2014, with the goal of achieving sales of USD 15 million in 2015. Mexico will be the sixth country in which Molten Automotive Parts operates overseas, after the United States, Thailand, China, Germany, and Vietnam.

Molten to establish subsidiary to sell automotive parts in Vietnam July 2013. Company to start sales

Molten Corporation (Head Office: Nishi-ku, Hiroshima; President and CEO: Kiyofumi Tamiaki) will establish Molten Vietnam Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary that will sell rubber automotive parts in Vietnam. Plans call for the new company to start sales in July 2013.
The decision reflects Molten’s desire to strengthen product sales in ASEAN countries, whose markets are growing as the move by automakers and parts manufacturers to shift production overseas accelerates. Molten will outsource production and offer technical assistance to Vietnamese manufacturer RUTHIMEX.
Total investment in the Vietnamese sales subsidiary will total JPY 120 million. Molten is currently preparing for the company to start sales in July 2013. Vietnam will be the fifth country in which Molten Automotive Parts operates overseas, after the United States, Thailand, China, and Germany.
